Erlang Calculator - Home Calculators

This calculator consists of three parts: (1) A regular four function calculator. Most keys operate as a normal calculator does, including C, AC functions. The calculator does not have a memory function.
(2) An Erlang calculator. Calculates the number of Erlangs that can be carried given the number of circuits and the blocking probability (displayed in the "Offered Traffic" box), AND calculates the number of circuits required given the number of Erlangs to be carried and the blocking probability (displayed in the "Circuits" box). The blocking probability is entered separately in the yellow coloured box at the bottom of the calculator (entered in the "Design blocking prob" box), the default value is 0.5%. Because circuits are provisioned in integer units (ie. not possible to provision a part circuit) the actual blocking probability is displayed in a separate box (displayed in "Actual Blocking prob" box), the calculation gives the number of circuits which gives the actual blocking probability closest to but lower than the Design Blocking probability.
(3) A GST calculator. Calculates the gross, net and GST component of the number entered. The GST rate is 12.5%, the value set in NZ.
