FET Free Timetabling - Teaching Tools

FET is free software which will automatically schedule the timetable of a school, high-school or university. It uses a fast and efficient timetabling algorithm.
Usually, FET is able to solve a complicated timetable in maximum 5-20 minutes. For simpler timetables, it may take a shorter time, under 5 minutes (in some cases, a matter of seconds). For extremely difficult timetables, it may take a longer time, a matter of hours.
Features: Fully automatic generation algorithm, allowing also semi-automatic or manual allocation.
Import/export from CSV format.
The timetables are exported into HTML, XML and CSV formats.
Very flexible students (pupils) structure, organized into sets: years, groups and subgroups. FET allows overlapping years and groups and non-overlapping subgroups. You can even define individual students (as separate sets).
Available in a number of languages.

Lesson Loader - Teaching Tools

LessonLoader is a free program to help you to plan and deliver your lessons more efficiently.
It works like this:
A. Planning a lesson Build up a play-list . . .
Step 1. Give the lesson a name
eg. 10P Elec Circuits Monday period 3
Step 2. Browse your hard-disc for files and select which ones you want to use. Files can be your own, or from a CD or the web. The files can be PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Images and Videos.
Step 3. In this way you build up a 'Play-List' of the files you want to project in this lesson, in sequence. You can edit the sequence if you wish.
Step 4. Click on the Save button. (You can store up to 1000 lessons.)

B. Teaching the lesson
In the lesson, just click on the big button, to play the next file in your play-list. It's as simple as that.
Although originally intended for use with the Physics for You CD-ROM, you can use it in any subject, with any files: . . . and then play it in the lesson.

GCSE Sc1 Software for UK Teachers - Teaching Tools

If you are having problems calculating best combinations of marks for your GCSE students' coursework, then look no further. It's amazingly quick and simple to use and you may even find new, higher combinations for your students! These are files for Excel 2000 or Excel XP to do the job for you (they will NOT work on previous versions of Excel). Each Excel file is designed to store and calculate marks for a class (up to 40 pupils) - simply make copies of the file with different names for different classes. When you load them, ensure that you 'Enable macros' in Excel.

This is a report writing utility for teachers which: produces professional sounding, individualized report cards in the shortest possible time. The reports can be tailored to suit individual students. It works in conjuntion with your usual word processor. Uses a set of statements written by the teacher or downloaded from the net. Word processes individual comments for students.
