uToolbox WordCount Tool is a freeware utility to count the number of words, lines and characters in a section of text. The user interface (GUI) of Word Count Tool is very simple, easy to use and user friendly. Just drag the Word Count Icon on to the text box window where you want to count the number of words. Word Count Tool will grab the text from where the Word Count Icon is placed and display the word count, lines count and characters count.
Also, Word Count Tool allows keeps the Word Count window always visible or always top on all other windows by simply checking the "Always on top" checkbox.

Sonar is a manuscript submission tracking program, I wrote it because I was going nuts keeping track of short story submissions. This program tells me which market has each story, whether a story has been sold or rejected and which stories are gathering dust instead of earning their keep. If you decide to use it, you will be able to view a list of all your stories and then filter them in various ways (e.g. only show stories which are available to send out). You can add markets, stories and submissions and best of all it's completely free!

PgmText - Text Tools And Utilities

PgmText is used to edit text parts of program files or other binary files. Its also possible to edit wide character text - resource part of a program (text in Menu items, Buttons etc.). You can search for a text or just navigate through the file - the program will skip all other data and go to the next text string. It is possibile to choose the character range: Normal - only the ANSI low range or all alphanumeric characters of the language/character set currently selected in the system. The current data is displayed as text as well as binary.
