jsComp - VST Plugins

jsComp is a simple hard-knee compressor followed by a switchable brickwall limiter. Both attack and release are adjustable down to 0ms (attack 0-300ms, release 0-1500ms), so even the compressor itself can act as a brickwall limiter (or clipper!). But the envelope filter also offers a 'hold'-knob, adjustable from 0 to 30ms which can be used to reduce low-frequency distortion to an absolute minimum. Ratio is adjustable from 1:1 to infinity:1 (limiting).
To increase flexibility, the compressor offers three stereo link modes (min, max, off/dual).

jsCompShaper Compressor - VST Plugins

Yet another compressor, but this one has the ability to morph between soft-knee compression and waveshaping as desired. In addition, it provides pre-/post-emphasis filtering (similar to a side-chain filter) and a more analog-like attack than jsComp.

Endorphin Dual-band Stereo Compressor - VST Plugins

Endorphin is a dynamics processor for complex signals, such as entire mixdowns ready for CD burning. It is capable of acting as a mastering tool within a chain of digital software to 'polish' sound material ready for CD duplication. It can be quite subtle with very little effect and coloration or really drastic when going into deep compression. You can make it breath, pump and produce a 'nailed to the wall' sound with a lot of loudness and saturation. But it can also be sonically transparent and add depth without actually sounding very 'compressed'. As usual, it depends on what you put into it and how you treat it.

Lightweight Soft Knee Compressor - VST Plugins

This is a soft knee compressor optimized for low CPU usage. While it is not that difficult to build a hard knee compressor with a low CPU usage, it is quite difficult to do so for a soft knee, especially if you want to control the margin around the threshold precisely while maintaining a consistent curve. The compressor also features a simple limit circuit to avoid clipping.
